Send approved WhatsApp template messages to a CSV list for reminders, confirmations, follow-ups, and outreach outside the voice-call flow.

Before you start

• Your message template must be approved by Meta in the Plivo dashboard.
• Your workspace needs a WhatsApp-registered Plivo number.
• Use utility templates for operational messages such as reminders and confirmations.
• Prepare a CSV with name, phone, and any fields required by template variables.

Create a WhatsApp campaign

1. Open WhatsApp and click New.
2. Enter a campaign name.
3. Pick an approved template from the list. If the template list is unavailable, enter the approved template name manually.
4. Confirm the language code, such as en.
5. Upload your CSV.
6. Map every template variable to a CSV column.
7. Preview the rendered messages when a template body is available.
8. Click Send messages.

CSV format

The app reads CSV headers and lets you map those columns to variables like{{1}} and {{2}}. Extra columns are allowed.

Track delivery

After launch, open the WhatsApp campaign detail page to review recipients and delivery status. Plivo webhooks update statuses such as sent, delivered, read, and failed. Failed recipients can be retried from the campaign detail page when retryable rows exist.

Quick send

Use WhatsApp > Quick send for a one-off template message that does not need a full CSV campaign.

Pricing & billing

WhatsApp messages are billed per message and deducted automatically from your workspace wallet the moment a message is accepted for delivery — the same prepaid wallet that funds your calls. The price depends on the message’s category, which Meta assigns when your template is approved.

• Charged once per message, when it’s accepted for delivery. Messages that fail to send are not charged.
• If your wallet can’t cover a message, it isn’t sent — top up to resume.
• Add funds anytime from Billing → Wallet; your balance updates in real time as messages send.
